Put Some Spring in Your Wrapping

Spring is bursting onto the scene. Trees are budding, the blossoms are glorious and the sun is begging for a turn. We couldn’t resist a chance to use these beautiful flowers for our gift wrap.

Pink flowers suit any occasion, but it’s the change of season and the limited time these flowers are around that makes it truly special.

Spring Gift Wrap 3It is also super easy to do and you’ll agree that it is beautiful in its simplicity.

As a rule, we don’t buy wrapping paper, but we buy lots of tissue paper. Wrapping paper is beautiful, but we love the versatility of the tissue. The one thing we splurge on is ribbon. We can’t get enough. We buy metres and metres of the stuff.

We are also hoarders. The pink net strips were left over from tutus we made for the girls. We don’t throw anything away. We save buttons, bows, ornaments, badges, pins and anything we can use on a gift. It is time for Spring cleaning, but that just means we repack the craft cupboard. You never know what you can put on a gift.

We love adding flowers to our gifts and the best part is that most of them come straight from the garden. It costs nothing, gets you out of the house and it makes the best gift topper ever.

You need:

Pink tissue paper

Sticky tape

Pink netting or pink ribbon

Peach blossoms or Jasmine

Method:

  1. Wrap the gifts.
  2. Tie the ribbon or netting around the gift.
  3. Add the flowers.

Spring Gift Wrap 4We used this for a kitchen tea gift, but it works for little girls and their mothers as well. The ideas are endless. Take a stroll through your garden and take note of the flowers you can use as gift toppers, especially the ones that are around for a short time. It makes it even more special.

Dispite the forcast, live like it's

Happy Spring!
