We Got Stijl-ed

Stijl opened its doors in Garsfontein, Pretoria this week and these ladies know a thing or two about style. On Friday they had an open day and we were treated to bubbly and nibbly bits, hand treatments by Kalahari and a Wella Luxury Age Defying Treatment. Yes, just when you thought anti-aging stopped with skincare.

Stijl is one of the first Salons in the country to offer the anti-aging treatment and it will be exclusive to them until the end of the month. It is a four step treatment and uses Luxoil shampoo and conditioner, Liquid hair and Luxoil Reconstructive Elixirs.

DAY ONE: You know the scene in Lion King where the hyena’s yell: No king, no king, tralalala. Well, we sounded like that after the treatment we were just singing: New hair, new hair, tralalala. Our hair feels and looks amazing. Its smooth, shiny and healthy.

DAY TWO: Usually the day after a visit to the salon we have to wash, because of all the gunk they put in your hair. Not the case. Our hair was still shiny and happy and not greasy.

DAY THREE: Wash day. This is the true test of a treatment for us. In the salon there is a professional stylist, specialised equipment and unlimited serums and boosters to make your hair look good. We want our hair to look good when we style it ourselves, with our cheap hair dryer, basic products and no professional training and most importantly we want the treatment to last. Often when we’ve paid for treatments and then you can see no difference after the first wash. Not the case here. The strands of hair are still smooth, the tips are not dry and the hair is shiny and looks healthy.

The salon also offers beauty treatments, boasts a nail bar and a coffee shop. It’s on Jacqueline, in Garsfontein across from Garsfontein High school. Call them for a booking now. They are amazing.
